Pinovo is "over the moon", "stoked", "blissed out" to have been awarded the Special Prize for a Marine Biodiversity Solution at the Ocean Pitch Challenge® in Paris this week 😁 🏆 🌊!!
This is recognition of the important problem of Paint Microplastic Pollution, and Pinovo's solution. The Ocean Pitch Challenge® is organised by RespectOcean and Sustainable Ocean Alliance. We would like to thank Aurélie Dubois, Jessica Newfield, Benjamin Lesage, Mélissa Michaud, and Pia Scaramiglia for their excellent organisation of this event, and for their preparation of the Finalists by the top class mentors and coaches, including Michael Rubin, Mark Butcher 🇺🇦, and, the one and only Nathan Gold! The Special Prize was awarded to Pinovo by the Office français de la biodiversité (OFB), who was represented by Cyrille Barnérias and Alain PIBOT. We look forward to working with OFB to support their work to protect biodiversity in the Ocean, by stopping Paint Microplastic Emissions at source in the marine and industrial worlds. We want to congratulate all of the impressive Finalists in the OPC, and the other winners, including the well deserved First Prize winner 🏆 🎉 - Paradoxal Surfboards and Jeremy Lucas. See link for all details 👉 https://lnkd.in/ejX_RPGt. Thank you also to the jury for your time, your interest in our solutions, and for your insightful questions, both during and after the event. A final big "shout out" to Louis COTTIN, Ludivine SERRIERE, and your team at Leonard for ensuring everything ran so smoothly on the day, in what is a great venue. And don't forget! #PaintIsPlastic

In March, 2020, Pinovo was the first solution to join the UpLink - World Economic Forum platform. As we explain in the video below, this was the start of a journey for us.
With UpLink - World Economic Forum 's help and support, we have put the problem of Ocean Paint Microplastic Pollution, and Pinovo's solution, "on the Agenda". Please follow this link to watch the video. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7063881039089168384 At Pinovo, sustainability includes not only delivering clean surface treatment solutions to our industrial and marine customers, but also identifying and working with companies in our supply chain that are equally focused on sustainability.
For this reason, we are delighted to collaborate with Trelleborg Industrial Hoseswho supply top quality, fit-for-purpose industrial hoses for our solutions, through their Norwegian distributor, TESS as. In addition to delivering best of class industrial products, Trelleborg Group is also one of the top ranked Sustainable Companies in Sweden, having recently been awarded second place in the Capital Goods category, and joint third place overall in the annual Hållbara awards, which recognise Swedish Corporate Sustainability Ranking. Both Pinovo and Trelleborg Industrial Hoses see the need to recycle used rubber hoses. We are pleased that Trelleborg Industrial Hoses continue to look at all possibilities to achieve sustainability gains in their operations, including potential opportunities to recycle used hoses. Pinovo looks forward to working with them on this. Circularity is important for Pinovo. Our clean circular solutions re-use the blasting grit 20 times, reducing grit consumption by up to 80%. This lowers CO2 emissions by over 60% compared to traditional open grit blasting, delivering a positive impact on SDG9 and SDG12. #circular The move to delivering sustainable solutions in all operations, and at all points in the supply chain, is now on. Pinovo is leading the way in sustainable clean surface treatment, and is happy to be working with Trelleborg Industrial Hoses for their high quality industrial hoses, and Trelleborg Group's sustainability credentials. |
